Applescal is a Dutch progressive electronic music artist and DJ based in Amsterdam. He has been releasing music since 2004, when he released his first album, entitled Songs For An Imaginary Continent. His music is deeply atmospheric, combining elements of ambient, chill-out, downtempo, electronica, and house music. He has since released multiple albums as well as several EPs and remixes. Applescal has collaborated with a range of renowned artists including Marcel Dettmann, Alyse, Christian Loffler, and Ghosts On Tape. His most recent release was the album A Different Reality which reached the No. 1 spot on the Dutch iTunes Electronic Chart and received positive reviews from music critics and fans alike. He has toured extensively around the world and has been featured at a number of high profile festivals. Applescal's driven and creative take on electronic music has earned him a dedicated and passionate fan base.
