About J-Kwon
J-Kwon is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter from St. Louis, Missouri. He gained prominence after the release of his 2004 platinum-certified single "Tipsy". He experienced significant success with the follow-up single "Hood Hop" from his debut album Hood Hop (2004). J-Kwon followed up with his second album, Louisville Slugger (2006), which was shelved due to label restructuring. In 2007 he released his third album Ludacris Presents: The Red Light District Mixtape. The tape featured appearances from Yung Joc, Da Brat and many other successful hip-hop artists. In 2008 he released the fourth album, name Brand New-Day which peaked at number 93, on the Billboard 200. J-Kwon continues to release music today and has earned a strong following over the years.
