About Ancient Methods
Ancient Methods is a German production duo consisting of Michael Wollenhaupt and Klaus Layer. The two bring together a unique and bold experience of industrial precision and dancefloor indie. An emphasis on electronic music and heavy beats, the duo has created a distinct and noteworthy sound.
Ancient Methods first emerged in the early 2010s out of Cologne, Germany when their track 'The July Storm' appeared on the über-classic Panzerkreuz album. The success of the track, as well as their remixes of 'What Used to be Called Used to be' and 'The Darkest Place I've Ever Been' established them as sought-after forces in the realm of music production.
