Chris Wood tickets

Chris Wood is an English folk musician, songwriter and singer. He is best known as a founding member of the folk supergroup, folk trio 'Swarthy' with whom he continues to perform, write music and release albums. He had initially trained to be a classical pianist before concentrating his efforts on music composition and arranging in the folk scene.

Chris Wood began his solo career in 1989 with his debut album 'Two Year Winter', which received critical acclaim. He has since gone on to release further solo albums 'Late Electric' (1991), 'Songs of Love and Politics' (1997), 'Handmade Life' (2007) and 'Renegade' (2011).

In addition to his solo releases, Chris Wood is also a prolific collaborator, having worked with the likes of John Kirkpatrick, John Tams, Martin Carthy and Battlefield Band over the years. His most recent work is as a member of the band 'No Man's Land'.
