Amentia is an Australian metal band from Melbourne, formed in 2012. The band has a strong, thrash metal sound, characterized by heavy guitar riffs and technical drumming. Through their albums Amentia has explored a variety of metal subgenres, from prog metal to death metal, creating a unique, diverse style. Amentia released their debut album 'Beginning of the End' in 2014, which received decent reviews from critics. The singles off the album such as 'Rise Again' and 'Crossbreed' saw moderate success and established the band in the metal scene. Following the success of their debut album, Amentia released their second album 'The Casteless', in 2018, which was well received by fans and critics alike. Amentia has since become one of the hottest up-and-coming metal acts in Australia.
