Foghat is an English rock band formed in London, England, in 1971. They are best known for their hard rock and blues rock sound, along with popular hit songs like 'Slow Ride' and 'Fool for the City.' The original lineup featured vocalist and guitarist Dave Peverett, guitarist Rod Price, bassist Tony Stevens, and drummer Roger Earl. They are considered one of the most popular bands from the '70s, having sold over ten million albums worldwide. Over the years, the lineup of the band has changed several times, but the classic sound remains. The band still has an active touring schedule and released their 15th studio album in 2017. They are considered contemporaries and peers of classic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, and The Allman Brothers.
