About From Autumn to Ashes
From Autumn to Ashes is an American post-hardcore/alternative rock band that was formed in Long Island, New York in 2000. The band's lineup is comprised of keyboardist/vocalist Francis Mark, guitarists Rob Lauritsen and Brian Deneeve, bassist Matt Anderson, and drummer Jeff Gretz. The band is best known for their albums The Fiction We Live (2004) and Holding a Wolf by the Ears (2007).
Their debut album Too Bad You're Beautiful was released in 2001 on Ferret Music, and was met with positive reviews. From Autumn to Ashes released their third album, Abandon Your Friends, in 2005. These albums focused on a more atmospheric, melodic style of post-hardcore and marked a departure from the bands earlier, heavier sound.
In 2007, the band released their final album, Holding a Wolf by the Ears, before announcing an indefinite hiatus in 2008. Although the band is no longer active
