James Curd is a Chicago-born, Grammy-nominated electronic music producer, DJ, and composer. He's most well-known for his work with influential labels such as DFA Records, Classic, and Southern Fried Records. He's also the co-founder of multi-genre dance music label, Green Velvet Music, alongside the Grammy-winning duo, Claude Vonstroke. His style of music is heavily influenced by disco, funk, and house music and has produced and remixed for artists such as Chromeo, Zhu, Phoenix, and more. He's also collaborated on singles with DJs such as Gramatik, Worthy, and Walker & Royce. His music has been featured at festivals such as Burning Man, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Coachella.
