Roxy Music is a rock and art-pop group formed in 1970 in England. The founding members were Bryan Ferry, Brian Eno, Andy Mackay, and Paul Thompson. The band's sound is characterized by their fusion of art-rock and electronic music with classic rock. They released a debut album that became a cult-favorite in 1972 with the classic "Virginia Plain" single becoming a hit. Through the 1970s, the band released a series of critically acclaimed albums, such as "For Your Pleasure," "Stranded," and "Country Life," that developed their signature style of dramatic, cinematic soundscapes and classic songwriting. They became one of the biggest bands in England and scored hits internationally, including the singles "Love is the Drug," "Do the Strand," and "Avalon." After the band split in 1983 they reunited in 2001, eventually releasing albums and touring the world.
