About Russell Brand
Russell Brand is a British comedian, actor, author and activist. He is best known for his stand-up comedy performances, his appearances on TV shows and films, such as Forgetting Sarah Marshall and Get Him to the Greek, and his memorable performances hosting awards ceremonies and TV shows. Brand began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 2000s, performing at comedy clubs in London and across the UK. Since then, he has written two novels, released four stand-up comedy DVDs, and hosted his own radio show and his own talk show Trews on YouTube. Brand has also become a social activist and has a long-running podcast, Under the Skin with Russell Brand. With an outspoken approach to politics and social commentary, Brand's work has attracted both criticism and praise from all walks of life.
