About Ryan Bingham
Ryan Bingham is an American singer-songwriter and alternative country musician. He released his debut album, Mescalito, in 2007 and has since released five further studio albums, garnering widespread critical acclaim. His sophomore album Junky Star won him a Grammy Award for Best Americana Album in 2011.
Bingham's songs are a mix of folk, roots, Americana, and country, with a terse storytelling style similar to that of many of his rootsier contemporaries like Todd Snider and Steve Earle. He sings about themes of struggle and redemption, and has written his own lyrics for each of his songs. He has toured extensively in Canada and the United States, either headlining or as a special guest act.
