About Small Talk
Small Talk is an indie rock band from Olympia, Washington. The trio consists of members Elijah Mine, Oskar Barnum, and Ada Hanks. They released their first full-length album - Lessons - in 2016, since then they've continued to make a mark on the indie music scene. Most recently, they released a 5 song EP, Low-Key/High-Key, in 2019.
Small Talk's sound is a mix of garage rock, emo, and punk that features lyrical themes of disorientation, love, and personal growth. The music is rooted in the DIY aesthetic and strives for a raw, honest, and emotionally charged delivery.
Small Talk has been invited to play at major music festivals such as SXSW, Pickathon, and The Capitol Hill Block Party, and have gone on to share stages with acts such as Cloud Nothings, Car Seat Headrest, The Menzingers, and Chastity Belt.
