About The Bug
The Bug is the musical project of producer and artist Kevin Martin, an experimental dub/electronic musician from London, active since the late '90s. Martin's genre-defying music is an evolutionary mixture of bass-heavy production, hip hop, jungle, dubstep, and grime, with influences from various forms of dance music. Since his debut in 1998, Martin's work has been released on labels such as Ninja Tune, Pressing Sounds, and Rephlex.
The Bug's most successful album, London Zoo, was released in 2008. The record received critical acclaim from a variety of sources, including the NME, Pitchfork, and Spin. It featured guest appearances from El-P, Warrior Queen, and Flowdan, among others. Subsequent releases from The Bug have showcased his wide range of production styles, ranging from noisy experiments to off-kilter beats.
