Gerry Read is a British music artist from Harlow, Essex. He has released records on a broad range of labels, primarily 4lux, Ramp, Futurism and PAM, and has amassed a substantial catalogue of experimental, electronic-tinged dance music. He is best known for his 2015 album It'll all be Over, which brought together a dub-influenced aesthetic with intricate record manipulation. His sound is characterised by its use of intricate and light percussion, uplifting synth melodies and intricate sampling techniques. Gerry Read continues to hone and expand on his sound with collaborative releases and a running series of parties in his hometown of Harlow. He has made guest appearances on BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM and NTS, and has toured across Europe and North America.
