Mazbou Q is an exciting music artist from the African nation of Mauritania, making originally uplifting Afrofusion music. His unique mix of rap and traditional styles along with his often socially conscious lyrics, has earned him a significant following since the release of his debut album in 2009. His music has been featured on major music streaming services and his 2018 album, Chaque Année, reached number 2 in the African music charts. He has had numerous successful live performances all around Africa and has performed on some of the world's most prestigious stages, including the Kennedy Center in Washington DC and The Smithsonian African Festival. As well as his music career, Mazbou Q is also an activist, using his platform to bring awareness to political and social issues across his home continent and throughout the world.
