Mac Miller first began producing music at the age of 14 and soon released his first mixtape at the age of 15. After signing with Rostrum Records, Miller’s breakthrough came with his debut album Blue Slide Park, which became the first independent debut album to top the Billboard 200 since 1995. Over the next few years, Miller released a number of mixtapes and became known for his versatile style and ability to mix and match genres. Throughout the 2010s, Miller released five studio albums along with a number of EPs and mixtapes. In 2018 Miller tragically passed away but his legacy continues through his music. Mac Miller’s career was highlighted by his experimentation and blend of genres, making him one of the most influential artists of the decade.
