About Sauti Sol
Sauti Sol is an Afro-pop Kenyan band made up of four members; Bien Aime Baraza, Willis Austin Chimano, Savara Mudigi, and Polycarp Otieno. They have been together since 2003, and are widely recognized across the African continent and abroad. They specialize in a mix of contemporary, conscious music.
In 2008 their debut album Mwanzo introduced them to the mainstream music market. Since then their accolades grows bigger and bigger. They won Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards in 2018, and are the most nominated act in the 2019 BET Awards. Their net worth is estimated at $24 million.
They are currently working on their sixth studio album, Mid Night Train, scheduled to be released in 2020. The album experiments with collaborations featuring Western artists like Sampa The Great, Black Motion, and Tiwa Savage.
