Author & Punisher is a one person industrial/drone metal project created by musician and engineer Tristan Shone. Drawing influence from a mix of heavy industrial, dark ambient and post-metal styles, Shone crafts evocative music that combines elements of synthesis and custom-made mechanical and electromechanical devices. With a catalog spanning seven albums since 2005 and a rising live reputation around the world, Author & Punisher has gained renown for its powerful sonic palette, experimental approach melding the tactile with the virtual and visuals that complement its aural assault. Author & Punisher’s music is meditation, transcendence, exploration, and opposition wrapped in drones, distortion, and industrial noise.
