Vicki Lawrence is a multifaceted American entertainer and comedian best known for her role as Thelma Harper on the 1980s sitcom Mama's Family. Lawrence has been in the entertainment industry since 1970 when she was crowned Miss Fireball on ABC's The Carol Burnett Show. She went on to have a successful career in television, making appearances multiple times on the Burnett Show as well as guest-starring on popular sitcoms and dramas like MASH, ALF, Just Shoot Me, and That 70s Show. She also starred in her own short-lived series, Karen, and had her own sitcom, Mama's Family. In addition, Lawrence has released several albums and toured the country as part of a stand-up comedy act. She continues to act, appear on television, and tour doing stand-up.
