Bloom is known for playing guitar and producing, as well as providing lead vocals and keyboards. He is considered a pioneer of heavy metal music and has been praised by critics and peers for his lyrics and approach to composition. Bloom was inducted into the Long Island Music Hall of Fame in 2006, and continues to perform with Blue Öyster Cult and on his own as a solo artist. With over 50 years of career success, he has worn many hats and proved that he can be multi-faceted in the music industry.
