Somatoast is an American music producer and instrumentalist whose style encompasses genres like hip-hop, rock, jazz and ambient. His music often features anxious atmosphere and emotional flourishes, creating a diverse array of genre-breaking sounds.

Originally from New Jersey, Somatoast released his debut album Shattered in 2012 and followed it with Silk Smoov EP in 2014. The same year, his cut "Cab Driver" became part of a Redbull Tutorial program. In 2017, his album With Us achieved critical acclaim for its intricate mix of different styles.

Since then, he has worked with artists like De La Soul, Kiiara and Alexandra Savior. His last projects, released in 2019, are Lead Belly and Gnomonaut, two different albums that focus on groovy beats and emotional soundcapes.
