Tamikrest tickets

Tamikrest is a Tuareg music group from Kidal, Mali. Their sound focuses on traditional Tuareg sounds and rhythms mixed with pertinent issues of their region. The group, formed in 2006, is made up of 8 members including lead singer and guitarist, Abdallah Ag Alhousseyni. Their career has seen them release six studio albums, the most recent being 2019's Tamotaït. They have toured around Europe, North America and Asia, as well as performed at several major festivals, including Glastonbury, Printemps de Bourges, Les Eurockeennes and Roskilde. The group has been nominated for and won a number of awards, including Best African Act at the MTV Europe Music Awards three times in 2011, 2013 and 2018. They are regarded as one of the most influential bands of the current time in African music.
