Tenzin Choegyal is a Tibetan musician from Dharamsala, India. He is an exceptional singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist with a wide range of influences, from traditional Tibetan folk music to contemporary world, jazz, rock, and classical music. He is known for his unique fusion of music styles from different cultures, which give his songs a unique and complex sound. He has released several albums over the years, including ‘Songs of Tibet’ (2007) and ‘The Sun Shines Everywhere’ (2009). He also collaborated with musicians from around the world, from India to Australia, and has performed at many major festivals and events, including the Womad world music festival in Queensland, Australia. He has received numerous awards for his work, including the prestigious Padma Shri Award in 2011, given by the Government of India.
