About The Avenue Ensemble
The Avenue Ensemble is a popular group of vocalists and instrumentalists from Sweden who mix jazz, pop, funk, gospel and world sounds to create an original musical style. Formed in 2007, they released their debut EP "Higher Music" in 2009, which was their first on the jazz music scene. Their follow up albums ‘Live’ (2010) and ‘Child’s Play’ (2015) both featured catchy, unique melodies that gained them a strong following.
The group have toured extensively, playing across the world including Europe, North America, Asia and Australia. They've played international festivals such as Montreux Jazz, North Sea and Ronnie Scott's, and have also performed at prominent venues like the Royal Albert Hall and Hollywood Bowl.
Their most recent work has seen them take an even more eclectic and experimental approach to their sound; they released their fourth album ‘The Avenue Ensemble’ in 2020 and have also said that
