Blake Baxter is a techno music producer and DJ from Detroit, Michigan who is known for his genre-bending approach to electronic music. He is best known as one of the founding fathers of early Detroit techno and a key contributor of acid and electro-funk. His career began with the release of his acid and electro singles in the late 1980s on the fellow techno label Kosmic City. He's released a number of studio albums such as Dream Sequence and The Other People. His standout albums on the influential dance music label Warp Records, World Demise and One More Time, further showcased his established sound. In addition to his audio output he's also widely known for his high-profile DJ sets in the late 90s and early 2000s at legendary venues such as The Warehouse in Chicago and Les Bains Douglas in Paris. Baxter continues to remain prolific on the club circuit, and his latest single 'Rave Man' was released on Bosconi Records earlier this year.
