Cloak is a progressive black metal band from the US. Their sound combines elements of classic black metal with sludgy guitar tones and technical percussion. Founded in 2017, the band has released two full-length albums. Their debut album, To Venomous Depths, delivered darker, more extreme black metal, while their follow-up record, The Burning Dawn, featured a noticeable shift towards a melodic, more structured approach to the genre. Cloak's most recent release, Love is Colder Than Death, takes modern metal influences to craft a unique and captivating sonic journey. Drawing from influences ranging from death and thrash metal to post-rock and hardcore, Cloak continues to push the boundaries of black metal.
