Essaie Pas are a Montreal-based duo made up of Marie Davidson and Pierre Guerineau. They specialize in a unique blend of dark, minimal electronic music that combines experimental, synthpop and techno elements seamlessly. Their project started in 2013 with their debut full-length album Demain est Une Autre Nuit. Since then, they have released two full-length albums, New Path (2016) and Esseia Pas (2019), and two EPs, Les Flamandes (2014) and Remixes (2015). Essaie Pas' sound has been described as cinematic in its depth and exploration, and the duo has been nominated for a Polaris Prize on two occasions (for Demain est Une Autre Nuit and New Path). Their music has been appreciated by fans and critics alike, and Essaie Pas have established themselves as a respected name in the experimental electronic music scene.
