Goli is the professional name of Iranian music artist and singer Erfan Paydar. His career began in Tehran in 1999, influenced by his homeland’s traditional and modern styles of music. Goli’s sought to create a unique and soulful blend of Persian and western genres. He is best known for his critically acclaimed albums, Mahiye and Shabaneh, both of which earned him a number of awards both domestically and internationally. Goli’s live performances have been highly praised, and he has become wellknown internationally for collaborations with other musical artists. He is also active in film, theatre and modern Iranian art. Goli continues to combine traditional and modern influences in his music, as seen in his latest release from 2020, the album ‘12345’.
