Phon.o is a Berlin-based audio scientist, producer and DJ who has been at the forefront of the German electronic music space for over fifteen years. His music covers a wide range of styles from danceable techno and experimental soundscapes to genre-defying dubstep and idm. But no matter what genre he produces, his work is always laden with heavy bass and textural sound design. He's released full-length albums on labels like BPitch Control, Monkeytown, Noton and Tresor Records as well as remixes of artists such as Derrick May, Kraftwerk, Boys Noize and Modeselektor. He's performed live sets all over the world from European festivals like Mutek and Sonar to clubs in North America, Asia, and Australia. Regardless of genre, his dynamic live sets, semi-improvisational approach, and creative sound palette have made him beloved by many.
