About Seed
Seed was an Australian hip-hop collective made up of MCs Brewly MC, Macromantics, Eso, Sabotage, Traksewt, XTwo, Jay K, Blackfella, and DJ 2Buck. Their debut album, Stereotype, was released in 2004, followed by Singles and a couple of successful EPs.
Their sound was influenced by American artists like A Tribe Called Quest and Wu-Tang Clan. They developed their cadence, lyrics, and rhymes up to rival the world’s greatest lyricists.
The group enjoyed great success, winning an ARIA award for Best Urban Release for the 2004 album Stereotype and even a nomination for J Award for Australian Album of the Year in 2006 for their Singles EP.
The members of Seed have since all gone on to have solo careers of their own, with some notable success. They have also collaborated together sporadically on live performances
