Bon Iver is a collective formed by Justin Vernon. Their music blends into an earthly and natural mythical sound of awe and wonder. Their first album was released independently in 2007, and all songs were written by Venom while isolated in a Wisconsin cabin for three straight months. The album was critically acclaimed and was an honest musical interpretation of Vernon's feelings.
Their second self titled album was released in 2011 and was awarded two Grammy Awards. One for Best New Artist and Best Alternative Album, making Bon Iver one of the most sought after folk bands of the new decade. It didn't take long for Bon Iver to reach commercial success, making a few collaborations with hip-hop artists like Kanye West. His vision of folk made regular appearances with hip-hop artists, and it seemed to work!
