About JFDR
JFDR is an indie singer-songwriter from Iceland, born as Johannes Finnsson. After fronting the band Pascal Pinon between 2009 and 2015, JFDR began her solo career in 2016 and has since released five studio albums. Her music draws influence from singer-songwriter folk, dream-pop, and experimental electronic elements. JFDR's albums feature both acoustic and electronic instrumentation, often featuring drum machines and synthesizers. Her lyrics explore imaginatively detailed stories or introspective narratives. In 2019, JFDR collaborated on the album "Music for People in Trouble" with fellow Icelandic musician Úlfur Eldjárn. The album was released to critical acclaim and featured appearances from a range of artists.
