Sakiko Osawa is a Japanese jazz singer and composer who has released an extensive repertoire of work including ten studio albums and various singles. She started her singing career in Tokyo, Japan in 1989 and has collaborated with renowned artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto, Sadao Watanabe, and Tetsuya Komuro. She made her international debut in 2002 with the album Ai No Yukue, which focused on American jazz standards. Her 2004 album Mixing Scenery saw her collaborating with American jazz musicians such as Larry Coryell, Michael Leonhart, and Bob Mintzer. She has performed in numerous festivals throughout Asia, Europe, and the United States, and has been a special guest vocalist with the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra since 2010. Osawa has established herself as a versatile jazz artist, never hesitating to experiment with various genre-blending projects.
