About Big Something
Big Something is a six-piece alternative rock band from North Carolina. Since forming in 2009, the band has released five studio albums, one live album, and two extended plays of original material. Big Something's music combines genres such as funk, rock, reggae, jazz, prog, R&B, and pop into a unique sound. The band has collaborated with numerous major musicians such as Vulfpeck, John Popper of Blues Traveler, and members of the Dave Matthews Band.
Big Something has toured the U.S. extensively, frequently performing at major music festivals such as Summer Camp, Allgood, Wakarusa, and the Lockn Festival. In 2019 the band released their fifth studio album, Truth Serum, which featured saxophonist Jeff Coffin of the Dave Matthews Band. The release has been described as "an album bursting with indelible hooks, infectious rhythms, and a deep pop sensibility."
