Dean Dillon is an American country music artist and songwriter. He started his professional career in the late 1970’s, and become one of the most successful songwriter in Nashville, having written over 40 top 10 hits, around 15 number ones, and over two hundred recorded songs.

Many of his songs were recorded by George Strait, for whom Dean Dillon wrote many of George's hits in the 80's and 90's. He co-wrote many of Strait's most iconic songs such as "The Chair", "Marina Del Rey" and "The Fireman". Dean has written songs for many other great artists such as Kenny Chesney, Randy Travis, Emmylou Harris and Alan Jackson. His song "Tennessee Whiskey" was recorded by George Jones and Chris Stapleton, and became an instant classic.
