Kurt Deimer is an award-winning singer, songwriter and musician from Germany. His career began in the 1970s when he formed a band named Youngblood. Since then, he has released over a dozen albums and has collaborated with some of the biggest names in music, including Phil Collins, Sting and Alicia Keys. He won the Echo Music Prize in 1991, becoming the first German artist to do so, and was also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award from the German Music Council in 2002. He has performed all over the world, appearing at festivals and concerts in North America, Europe, Japan, South Africa and more. Throughout his career, he has drawn inspiration from folk, jazz, classical and pop, incorporating all of these elements into his music. His work has been praised for its melodic and poetic lyrics, conveying messages of hope and love.
