Large Professor is an influential American hip-hop artist, producer, and DJ hailing from Queens, New York. He began his career in 1987 as a founding member of the group Main Source and serving as the producer on their debut album, Breaking Atoms. After becoming an established staple of New York's hip-hop scene, he released his debut solo album The LP in 1999. Large Pro's production style is classic and instantly recognizable, with deep bass-lines and hard drums being the foundation of his beats. He has produced for artists such as Nas, A Tribe Called Quest, Busta Rhymes, and Mc Lyte.
