About Le Loup
Le Loup is an indie folk rock band based out of Washington, DC. Formed in 2006, the band consists of four core members consisting of Sam Simkoff, Oz Goldstein, Jonas Haskins and Michael Johnson. The band has released three albums to date, each of which has seen wide critical acclaim.
Their unique sound can best be described as nu-folk, with its unique blend of traditional folk and rock instrumentation and sampling. Their live performances have become renowned for their hypnotic nature, blending organic folk elements and electronically manipulated electronica.
The band has toured extensively internationally, including performing shows in Europe and North and South America. In 2011, they toured Europe and the United States, supporting bands such as Fleet Foxes, The National, and The Head and the Heart.
