Rao (US) is an American artist based in New York. He is best known for his alternative hip-hop and R&B blend. Since 2011, Rao has been releasing a steady stream of EPs and singles, garnering attention thanks to his unique neo-soul sound. His most acclaimed projects to date are the EPs 01.00 and 04.02, which culminated in a deal with 300 Entertainment in 2018. He has an impressive performance history, having played at The Firefly Festival, Summer Jam Festival, and SXSW. Rao released his first full-length album Phase One in 2019 and, most recently, dropped the single "Sonofarebel".
