Beastwars are a New Zealand stoner metal band from Wellington, formed in 2009. The band consists of Matt Hyde (vocals and guitar), Clayton Anderson (guitar and vocals), Jamie Hickey (bass and backing vocals) and Nathan Hickey (drums and backing vocals). Their debut self-titled album was recorded with famous producer Jody Lloyd in 2010. The follow-up album 'Blood Becomes Fire' was released in 2013 to critical acclaim and has since been followed by 'The Death of All Things' (2016) and 'IV' (2018). Beastwars have been described as a combination of heavy and melodic in their signature sound, with their live performances being widely praised.
