Bobby Rush is a 85 year old American blues and soul singer and songwriter from Louisiana. He began his music career in the 1950s, and has performed with artists ranging from Albert King and Lightnin' Hopkins to Fats Domino and Irma Thomas. He moved to Chicago in 1968, and began recording for labels like Vee-Jay and Jewel. Since then, he has recorded for many labels, released over 35 studio albums, and won 4 Blues Music Awards and 4 Blues Blast Awards. Rush is known for his innovative musical style, which combines blues, soul, funk, and rap. He continues to tour around the world, and is currently working on his 38th studio album.
