Chat Pile is an experimental indie rock band led by multi-instrumentalist and songwriter Adam Pierce. Based in Boston, Massachusetts, the band has released three albums since its formation in 2006. Their music blends elements of shoegaze, post-rock, and dream pop, often featuring layered guitars and Pierce's ethereal vocal style. One of their most notable singles, "Cloudy Day", was featured in a Sony Playstation ad in 2014. The band has joined music festivals such as Fuzzy Fest in 2013, as well as performing live shows at venues like the Middle East in Cambridge, MA. In 2016, they were nominated for the Boston Music Awards Artist of the Year award. Their most recent album, 'Send Flowers', was released in 2018 and has received critical acclaim, including an 8.9 score from Pitchfork.
