Chris Standring is an English-born guitarist, composer, and producer who has been a strong presence in the contemporary jazz world for over two decades. His highly acclaimed career has seen him record and tour with some of the brightest lights on the contemporary jazz scene, including Sade and Rick Braun. He even had samples of his works used on the international hit Portishead album "Dummy".

Standring's solo career has produced twelve critically acclaimed albums starting with "Solar Kick," and includes several Billboard charting records. He has followed his initial fusion of acoustic jazz infusions and modern pop into increasingly daring and distinct directions and many of his pieces reach a wide international audience.
