IDLES are an English punk rock band from Bristol. The five-piece band formed in 2009, but began releasing music in 2010. Their break out debut album, Brutalism, was released to critical acclaim in 2017. Their second album, Joy as an Act of Resistance in 2018 was even more widely praised as well as nominated for several awards, including the Mercury Prize. IDLES continue to push boundaries and experiments with different sounds on their latest release, Ultra Mono, which celebrates diversity and queerness. Their live shows are renowned for their energy and infectious punk attitude.
