About Inspiral Carpets
Inspiral Carpets were an English rock and indie rock band that formed in Oldham, Greater Manchester in 1986. Deriving their name from a carpet store near their rehearsal room, the group blended 1960s psychedelia and 1970s punk sensibilities in their music. The band is best known for singles such as "This Is How It Feels", "She Comes in the Fall", and "Saturn 5". The band found early success on UK indie charts and released seven studio albums during their career. In 1996, Inspiral Carpets disbanded, though they later reunited in 2003 and again in 2014 to perform live shows. In 2017, the band released their final single "Keep on Keeping On". Inspiral Carpets were recognized as an influential part of the British music scene in the 1990s with their unique sound.
