Jorma Kaukonen tickets

Jorma Kaukonen is an American musician and songwriter, best known for his groundbreaking work with the rock band Jefferson Airplane and his long-term tenure in Hot Tuna. Born in Washington, DC in 1940, Jorma Kaukonen learned to play the guitar as a child and began his professional musical career in 1964 when he joined Jefferson Airplane. His blues-inflected melodies on the guitar helped define the psychedelic sound of the band. In the 1970s he co-founded Hot Tuna with fellow Jefferson Airplane guitarist Jack Casady, recording and touring with various line-ups for the next two decades. Kaukonen also embarked on several notable solo projects during this period, and in the new millennium he formed the acoustic duo Fur Peace Ranch, which produces and records new material from his own label. He continues to tour and record both solo material and with Hot Tuna.
