Kankan is a Japanese music artist from Tokyo whose career in music began with her self-titled mini album in 2009. She is most well known as an enka singer, but has also experimented in different genres, such as funk and jazz. Her albums Nosatsu and Nippon have been featured in the Oricon Top 10. Kankan has also collaborated with artists such as Yosui Inoue and Hibari Misora, as well as featured on the soundtracks for the movies Life Can Wait and Miko Kido. Additionally, she has performed extensively in Japan's live music venues, and her singles have charted on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 Singles Chart.
