LAYZ is an R&B and soul music artist from Chicago, Illinois. She began recording at a young age and got her big break when she released her debut single "Ooh Baby" in 2014. The single quickly gained popularity among music critics and fans, and it peaked at number 16 on the US Billboard R&B chart. Since then, she has released two albums (Ascension and Trilogy) as well as multiple EPs and mixtapes. Her music has been praised for its soulful and emotional lyrics and vocals, as well as its bold, experimental production. LAYZ has collaborated with several artists, including Childish Gambino and Taylor Bennett. She will be releasing her third album later this year, and she's doing several live shows around the United States.
