M. Ward is an American singer-songwriter and musician. He began his career in 1999 when he joined with Portland indie rockers, Rodriguez and Wagner, to form the band, Rodriguez and M. Ward. His debut solo album, Duet For Guitar and Uke, was released in 2000. Since then, he has released a total of 8 solo albums, with his latest, Migration Stories, being released in 2019. He has also released two albums with the band She & Him, which is a collaborative project between him and Zooey Deschanel. His style mixes blues-folk, rock, and country, and his music has been critically acclaimed, receiving numerous awards and nominations. He has also collaborated with multiple other musical artists, including Jason Lytle, Bright Eyes, and Mike Coykendall.
