About New Order
New Order is an English rock band formed in 1980. Their musical style draws heavily from post-punk, and combines elements of synthesisers, guitars, and drum machines. In the 1980s, the band became one of the most successful bands of the era, recording many hit singles, such as “Blue Monday” and “Bizarre Love Triangle”. The band is credited with developing a new melodic approach to electronic music which combined elements of American indie rock, Latin rhythms, and disco. They have released ten studio albums and have charted numerous singles on the UK Singles Chart. From 2005-2011, the group was on hiatus, during which time they reformed for a world tour, titled “The Movement” in 2006, followed by two more world tours in 2009 and 2011. Since then, the band has continued to tour and record, and their latest album Music Complete was released in 2015.
